A state designated Main Street 501c3 who developed and manages the ReFresh Project, a fresh food hub in Mid-City New Orleans dedicated to creating healthier communities through food and wellness programming. 

 

The ReFresh project and its partners provide healthy and affordable food to the Broad Street neighborhoods, coupled with community engaged programming, education and training designed to promote the health and wellness of the surrounding communities.

Children’s Hospital is a 247-bed, not-for-profit pediatric medical center offering a complete range of healthcare services for children from birth to 21 years. With over 40 pediatric specialties and more than 400 physicians, it is the only full-service hospital exclusively for children in Louisiana and the Gulf South. Tulane University is one of the most highly regarded and selective independent research universities in the United States. Tulane is hosting an international competition "Grand Challenge" that will award $1 million to the entrepreneur, inventor or researcher with the best plan to reduce hypoxic or dead zones, massive areas of oxygen-deprived water (aka hypoxia or The Dead Zone) where most marine life can’t survive. The Challenge seeks innovative and adaptable technologies that can reduce the amount of nutrients entering the world’s lakes, rivers and oceans while at the same time allowing farmers to maximize the amount of crops they grow.
